Program Details

SUMMER SEASON IS CURRENTLY SCHEDULED TO START JULY 7TH. THE SPRING SEASON IS STILL ACTIVE DUE TO RAINOUTS AND WE CAN'T START SUMMER UNTIL THAT SEASON IS OVER. CHECK THE WEBSITE OFTEN FOR UPDATED START & END TIMES. AN EMAIL WILL GO OUT ANNOUNCING THE SEASON A WEEK BEFORE IT IS SCHEDULED TO START.

THIS LEAGUE FILLS UP FAST, SO PAID PLAYERS ARE PRIORITIZED OVER NON-PAID AND CAPTAINS NEED TO BE PAID TO HOLD TEAM SPOTS. IF YOU ARE A FREE AGENT, YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED A SPOT EVEN IF YOU ARE PAID. WE DO OUR ABSOLUTE BEST TO FILL EVERY PLAYER, BUT WE DO TEAM ASSIGNMENTS BASED ON A FIRST PAID FIRST COME BASIS AND THIS PROCESS IS NOT DONE UNTIL A WEEK BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS. IF YOU ARE NOT ASSIGNED A TEAM AND YOU PAID, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE REFUNDED.

WE'VE ADJUSTED THE CO-ED REQUIREMENTS TO BE 7 MALES / 3 FEMALES ON THE FIELD (versus traditional 6M/4F).

TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN BALLS TO THE GAME. MENS BALLS ARE .375 44 COMPRESSION AND WOMENS BALLS ARE .400 44

YOU MAY ALSO BUY BALLS FROM US FOR $5 PER BALL.

10v10 in the field: (7m/3f). Batting order is however you want. There can only be up to 4 more total males in the lineup than females (i.e. 7 males and 3 females or 8 males and 4 females). If an 8th male or more wants to be added to the lineup, a corresponding female must be added as well. Outs cannot be taken in place of girls when wanting to add 8 or more males to the lineup. Unlimited female hitters however.

SOFTBALL RULES

Here are some important things worth noting:

  • 3 Females and 7 Males on the field.
  • Minimum of 2 females in the INFIELD.
  • Minimum of 4 innings and Max of 7 innings or 60 minutes.
  • Batters start with a 1-1 count.
  • 2 fouls equal an OUT.
  • Pitches must be underhand and slow in velocity.
  • Pitch must be at least 5' in height but no more than 10' in height.
  • Players must wear some sort of athletic shoes, but METAL CLEATS are not allowed.
  • Players must play at least 3 games during the regular season and have signed the waiver/roster to be eligible for playoffs.

PAYMENT AND LATE FEES
Payment for registration is due on the first week of games. You can bring cash or Venmo to your first game to avoid late fees. After the first game, a $10 late fee will be added to your registration fee. IF YOU DON'T PAY YOUR FEES BY THE SECOND GAME, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY.

SHIRTS AND UNIFORMS
We do not provide shirts or uniforms for established teams, only free agent based teams. If you'd like to order shirts for your team, we recommend using Specialty Sports in Savannah. http://www.specialtysportssavannah.com

NO ALCOHOL OR DOGS ALLOWED ON PREMISE
Unfortunately, Paulson has a very strict no alcohol and no dog rule. Please leave your pets home and do not bring alcohol to any of the games or they will call the police on you.

SPORTSMANSHIP
Under new ownership, we are enacting strict sportsmanship rules. We've already had a few incidents where we've had to issue suspensions. We are all here to have fun, so please be respectful to your teammates, opponents and especially your umpires. Our umpires are trained on the rules and their say is final. If you'd like to dispute any calls, only the team's captain can do so and it must be done in a respectful manner. If any issues arise, please let Waldo know by texting 912-200-7902.

SUBBING AND GUEST PLAYERS
If your team is short and you need a sub, please post in our Softball Facebook group to try and recruit a sub. Guest players may be subject to a $20 fee to play if they play during the playoffs or if they play more than one game during the season.
